On day 2 of our classes at Hatfield we hiked Cascade Head, a trail that can be found a little ways outside of Otis (home of one of the few Pronto Pups still open...very important, you have got to try Pronto Pups...). The trail is only 3.4 miles long with lookouts at 520 ft. and 1217 ft.
Even though the trail was short the elevation gain was killer on my out of shape legs! I was sucking wind so hard I could have pulled a monkey through a garden hose (thanks Ingrid).
These are my new roommates: Christina, Kristen, and Kathryn.
The view was fantastic and we used the bird's eye view of the coastal oceanography as an excuse to link the hike to something educational.
